CURRENT PROJECTS: Non Black Light Dark Ride: MONSTER MANSION, Zhuhai Springs, China

Dark Rider was awarded the contract to create a million dollar dark ride based on a concept called Monster Mansion. The dark ride will include a track less ride system from http://www.etf.nl/ and will includes several Hollywood style CGI effects. The ride starts off in OLD LONDON where you're attacked by Jack the Ripper, then from there you encounter Mr. Hyde, then through a Graveyard onto Dracula's Castle and once inside you come face to face with The Mummy, Phantom of the Opera, Dracula, Frankenstein and several ghouls and zombies. Check back on our website as we'll upload updates on this project. Monster Mansion will be installed in March 2006.

Dark Rider like ALL OTHER Dark Ride companies do NOT build their own ride systems. We can however purchase ride systems from different suppliers based on your needs and budget. Dark Rider has worked with several different suppliers of ride systems from The ETF Group http://www.etf.nl/ and SimTech Systems http://www.simtechdarkrides.com and IE Parks http://www.iepark.com.

Currently Dark Rider encourages amusement facilities to go with trackless ride systems, that allow the designers to incorporate additional effects that are not possible with track systems. For example we can create a CGI based scene where we need the cars to stop and view something, which can't typically be done with a track based system. Additionally with wireless system we can create alternative endings, where the riders can experience different endings to the ride. For example if the riders car doesn't score enough combined points they will see the loser ending. Lastly with wireless track systems, we can create dueling cars that can shoot each other, cars can spin, stop, start and move around tight spaces...all things a track system can't do.

A complete trackless system typically starts around $280,000.00 for 8 cars and installation and goes up from there based on the customers requirements.

Interactive Dark Rides

Interactive Dark Rides bring the riders' participation into the ride experience. All riders will feel like they're competing against each other, hence ride the ride numerous times trying to beat their friends or top their own scores.

If you choose a black light themed interactive ride, no one offers a better artistic and visually pleasing experience than Dark Rider, Inc. We feel a dark ride should be all about the layers of the experience. On one hand you have the interactive element. Secondly, we can create artwork that is in 3D. Lastly, we'll enhance the story line by adding our level of computer-generated effects as seen in Spiderman's Ultimate Ride.

Customized Attractions

What seems to be a lost art form is the traditional dark rides that are based on story lines and action not shooting targets and black light. Maybe this type of dark ride was lost due to the expense of creating realistic sets and or a lack of creative companies that could tell stories.

Realistic dark rides should be thrilling packed with adventure and should tell a story from start to finish. Sets and animations should be realistic and believable for the customer's experience. Dark Rider, Inc. will create sets, animations and tell a story even Hollywood would envy for your dark ride.
